120 Commonwealth Ave
Boston, MA
Originally designed by Emerson and Fehmer in 1872–1873, 120 Commonwealth is a distinguished brownstone in Boston’s Back Bay and part of a four-home architectural composition that reflects the area’s 19th-century grandeur.
Once home to the Case and Peabody families, the residence has long stood as a symbol of Boston’s historic elegance and cultural heritage.
During its recent renovation, Abi Babcock was brought on to reimagine the interiors while preserving the building’s architectural integrity. The design balances the home’s rich historical details with modern functionality.
